Separation of Power: An Elusive Dream

This article describes the basic doctrine of separation of power to highlight how this doctrine has evolved. Then, this article inspects whether this doctrine is practically viable or an elusive dream. To this end, this research article utilised qualitative research methodology and focuses on the nature and effectiveness of the doctrine of separation of power. The article investigates whether the separation of power is a pure or genuine concept to pinpoint its complex nature. Then, this article critically analyses the less purity in Montesquieu’s concept of separation of power. In the end, this article scrutinizes and finds the pure concept of separation of power.
