Specifically: Financial education positively affects financial intelligence (coefficient = 0.45, p < 0.001). Professional experience also has a positive influence on financial intelligence (coefficient = 0.30, p < 0.001). Work environment contributes positively to financial intelligence (coefficient = 0.25, p < 0.001). Job satisfaction moderates the relationship between financial education and financial intelligence (coefficient = 0.20, p < 0.001), while income level moderates the effect of professional experience on financial intelligence (coefficient = 0.15, p = 0.003). Financial stress negatively mediates the relationship between financial intelligence and professional development (coefficient = -0.35, p < 0.001), whereas career satisfaction positively mediates this relationship (coefficient = 0.40, p < 0.001).

Conclusion: The study suggests that improving financial education, professional experience, and work environment can enhance financial intelligence among nurses, with job satisfaction and income level playing crucial roles. This study explores the smoking habit, associated health risks and socio-economic impacts among Taluka Shahdadkot residents, including a group of 200 people using quantitative method with low income. The results indicates that (15%) of smokers are affected by lung cancer, which amounts to an estimated 30 cases in the sample. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) affects (25%) of smokers, equaling 50 cases. Additionally, (20%) of smokers has cardiovascular disease, leading to an estimated 40 cases. These health issues pose a major economic burden, including health costs, reduced productivity, and spending on household stress. Besides that, Respondents with no formal education were utilizing the smoking at greater extent as compared to the higher education with the prevalence of (50%). Keeping in mind the results of the study, it is concluded that, lower education can boost smoking at greater extent. Therefore, the need of education campaign is considered to be the solution for the concern. Secondly, it is necessary to implement comprehensive tobacco regulation regimes, including strong enforcement of laws, innovative public health awareness programs, and providing specialist facilities to help quit smoking.
Abdul Rasool Khoso, Shahnaz Bhutto, Gu Jintu, Wang Suyuhan Copyright (c) 2024 Zakariya Journal of Social Sciences https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journals.airsd.org/index.php/zjss/article/view/468 Sat, 10 Aug 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The Impact of WhatsApp-based Mobile Learning on Academic Achievement among BSN Students at Isra University, Hyderabad https://journals.airsd.org/index.php/zjss/article/view/469
WhatsApp as an application for messages is integrated into the academic processes, particularly necessary in the nursing educational process, where effective communication and cooperation play an important role. However, the influence of WhatsApp on students’ performance and accomplishment in their assignments is still under-researched. This study aimed to assess the impact of WhatsApp-based mobile learning on academic achievement among BSN students at Isra University, Hyderabad. This was a cross-sectional study done between July and September 2024 involving 80 BSN students in a specified university selected by stratified random sampling. Participants completed a validated questionnaire which included questions related to their socio-demographic profile as well as their perceptions of how WhatsApp has impacted their performance. The data was analyzed using IBM version 23 software and descriptive statistics. According to the findings, 45% of participants reported that their communication on WhatsApp had negative effect on the academic life. 53.8% of the students responded that they have a challenge in balancing between using WhatsApp and studying, Although 62.5% of participants indicated that WhatsApp discussion improved their performance, 50% of them used the platform to share study material. Still, there were some benefits: 42.5% of the students admitted using WhatsApp as the main source of academic information. Moreover, concerning the impact of the use of WhatsApp to personal lives, 41.3% of the respondents observed negative influence. The study concluded that WhatsApp can help with collaborative learning but the group messaging service can also be a source of distraction and that learners rely on social media for content related to their courses. WhatsApp utilization at learning institutions should be done cautiously; special attention should be paid to time and information sources.
Shanta Kirshan, Zafarullah Junejo, Sangeeta Makwani, Rafail Shaikh, Kavita Thakur Copyright (c) 2024 Zakariya Journal of Social Sciences https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journals.airsd.org/index.php/zjss/article/view/469 Tue, 01 Oct 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Impact of TikTok on BSN Students' Academic Performance, Mental Health, and Educational Engagement https://journals.airsd.org/index.php/zjss/article/view/470
TikTok as one of the social networking sites has become an inseparable part of students’ everyday life including education. However, its effects on academic achievement, emotional well-being, and interest in instructional material, especially with BSN students, requires further research. Aim of this study was to find out physical and revenue productivity and to compute net returns and input output ratio of this crop. For this study, sixty strawberry growers were selected through purposive sampling technique; where, they were interviewed by using a detailed questionnaire. Results show that average age of selected respondent was 43.25 years, about 75 percent of growers were literate and 25 percent were illiterate. The growers have about 3.08 years of strawberry growing experience while 20 percent of farmers had their first experience of strawberry cultivation. The results further show that per acre average revenue was Rs.574025 and average expenditure (per acre) was Rs.244173.25, where they earned net profit of Rs.329851.75 per acre. The strawberry grower had obtained input output ratio of 1:2.35 and the cost benefit ratio was calculated as 1:1.35. This study reveals that the major constraints faced by the growers in the study area, were shortage of water, lack of modern technologies, and lack of storage facilities and higher interest rate of agricultural loans. It is, therefore suggested that the government has to take effective steps to counter those problems by providing technical information, training and easy credit facilities. Agriculture extension assistance should be mobilized to work with strawberry growers with advanced technologies in Sindh Province.
Naushad Ali Bhutto, Sarmad Veesar, Attaullah Veesar, Madiha Randhawa Copyright (c) 2024 Zakariya Journal of Social Sciences https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journals.airsd.org/index.php/zjss/article/view/476 Sat, 16 Nov 2024 00:00:00 +0000
